Jun. 21st, 2005 07:45 pmOMFG. I have plots for two fics (kinda). Because I have been cracking out on too much FMA recently. Not that there's really such a thing... *snicker* But yes. Was listening to music yesterday while doing mucho psych reading, and came across "Try" by Nelly Furtado. And then proceeded to listen to it 2342435243 times because of the fact that it kept making me think of Ed and Roy. Like, the first and second verses, as well as the chorus was like, Ed's voice, and the third verse was more Roy's voice, and except for the fact that songfics are totally D000000M, I would totally write one. As it is, I'm probably going to write something kinda based upon the song, but not a songfic.
Furthermore, after all the Ed/Roy fic I've been reading, and because of the fact that I really don't know the series as well as I SHOULD, I've decided that I'm going to watch three episodes of it per day until I've finished the series a second time. No more, no less, because I figure three is the maximum amount that will let me remember the most details. However, since I started that today, I discovered something in episode three. Roy totally could have prevented the WHOLE THING. He stands on that fucking hill in the rain for like, twenty minutes or so. PLENTY of time. This got me thinking. I should write a fic in which he does actually step in and prevent the stupidity. The only problem with that idea is then, what would be the conflict of the fic? After all, it wouldn't be much of a fic if the Elrics were then like, "Oh, alright. Thanks a lot and goodbye!" I'm thinking that Roy might look over their actual procedure and realize that somehow a ten and eleven year old got it perfect, and start his conniving from there, and somehow get them both to take the State Exam. Since a good portion of the plot of FMA would stay the same; I'd just have to figure out how to get Ed and Al really thickly involved in it. In a believeable way. WISH ME LUCK.
